Beginner Frame Loom Weaving Workshop

Discover the art of frame loom weaving in this beginner-friendly workshop led by Courtney Salerno (@madeby_cjk) on Saturday May 17th from 1-4pm.

In a relaxed and welcoming environment, you'll learn the fundamentals of frame loom weaving - from setting up your loom and choosing yarns to mastering basic weaving techniques like plain weave, rya knots, and soumak. Together, we'll explore texture, color, and pattern, and you'll leave with your own small woven wall hanging, perfect for your home or as a handmade gift.

No experience is necessary. Just bring your creativity and curiosity! All materials, including looms, yarns, and tools, will be provided. By the end of the class, you'll not only have a beautiful finished piece but also the skills and confidence to continue weaving on your own. Materials are available to purchase at the end of the class if you wish to continue on your weaving journey. Come unwind, play with fibers, and tap into the meditative rhythm of weaving!

• This workshop does not include candle making. This maker is hosting their own workshop in our shop since we are closed in May for parental leave. We just had a baby!
• No sales will be made in-store on the day of the workshop. If you'd like to purchase any products from our shop, please contact us 2 weeks prior to the workshop so we can send you an invoice and set your order aside for pick up on the day of the workshop.
• Parking is metered on Main Street Friday-Sunday. The Riverview Restaurant has a metered municipal lot. Free parking is available at Metro North and on 9D for a short walk into town. Parking is restricted to residents only on most side streets. Parking can be difficult on weekends, so please arrive to town with enough time to find parking and ensure you arrive on time for the workshop.
